PROJECT 1
Our first project involves creating a framework to train aged care facilities on how to be TGD-friendly. This will include developing training packages on using correct pronouns and understanding the needs of the trans and gender diverse community. We will also establish a dedicated Aged Care team to engage with elderly trans and gender diverse individuals, offering workshops and morning tea days for them to gather and discuss aging issues.
PROJECT 2
Expand our Youth Network by hiring a part-time Youth Coordinator who will organize and conduct workshops for Trans and Gender Diverse individuals aged 16-25. The workshops will cover topics such as Zines, Mind Mapping, and Community Building, with additional sub-projects on advocacy and public speaking. The Youth Group will provide a secure environment for TGD Youth to connect with their peers, share their experiences, and friendships.
PROJECT 3
Expand on TAFFI by organizing a second event in the Shoalhaven region to commemorate IDAHOBIT day. The event will include an information session for the community and clinical professionals on TGD affirming care, Advocacy, and Inclusion. The day will consist of lectures by professionals in all fields related to the TGD Community. If successful, this event can be replicated in other regional and rural areas.
